This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the practice of darning, a simple and ancient method of repairing holey woolens. We will discuss tools, materials, historical context, and mending philosophy, as well as techniques to replicate both woven and knit fabric. Students will bring along a holey wool garment and leave with it mended.
